Business Cards
Writing contact details on scraps of paper takes too long, so businesspeople have cards printed. They should not be confused with fliers, billboards, posters or magazine ads – just simple contact details. Some look better than others, and can even affect a sale. When a client is having doubts about a purchase, the sight of a poorly designed business card may be the deciding factor in their choice to look elsewhere. Cards are handy to write on too, so there should be blank areas available for this reason, and the best cards are usually printed on one side only.
Simplicity is best
Fliers, signs, brochures, webpages and billboards should be used to promote a product. Business cards have a different function. Cards that advertise like fliers tend to annoy customers. They are far more likely to throw such a card away shortly after acquiring it, because it borders on spam, or junk mail. To increase the chances of a card being kept, we tone down the information and use simple, elegant designs.
Artwork only, or whole package
Most clients pay us to design their artwork only, which is sent to a printer of their choice, but we are happy to oversee the development from start to finish for those with less time to handle these matters.
The process begins with clients using our quote page to provide information, after which a quote is sent. Upon receiving a 50% deposit we consult with clients to understand their needs. Initial designs are placed on private viewing pages (invisible to search engines), and feedback is invited. Further designs or modifications are produced and presented until clients are satisfied.
Ownership, copyright, etc.
Ownership of artwork is transferred to clients once final payments are made, after which artwork is provided in a variety of quality formats. If we are handling the printing we may need to pay others for their work, and this may need to be paid in advance. Such details will be provided in our quote.
